About Alicia Todisco:
Alicia Todisco is a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer as well as a Certified Post Rehabilitation Specialist. She is based in Truckee, CA and holds her credentials through the American Council on Exercise. Alicia’s primary niche is functional fitness, which aims to improve the body’s ability to perform at optimal levels throughout all acts of daily living. Alicia crafts her unique training methodology from combined research-backed progressive strength training and cardiovascular conditioning, drawing upon principles of corrective exercise, yoga, and cognitive psychology to leverage the powerful connection between body and mind.
Alicia grew up in the greater Boston area and began to participate in organized athletics as soon as she took her first steps. Alicia developed a competitive nature through her upbringing, largely crediting her father, who enlisted her to play boy’s baseball “in order to make her a more aggressive athlete.” On the sidelines, Alicia privately battled against anxiety, body dysmorphia, and seasonal affective disorder — too embarrassed and ashamed to discuss it with anyone. She became fascinated in understanding and overcoming the complexities of the human psyche and went on to major in Psychology, earning her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
In her early 20’s, Alicia developed chronic pain that could not be diagnosed nor treated. In time, Alicia noticed a correlation between days beginning with exercise and days living with less pain. Exercise transformed her life in an unimaginable way, and it was because of this that Alicia decided to turn her passion into a career.
In 2017 Alicia started her own business and as her clients amounted great success, so too did she. In February 2018, one month after Alicia's 30th birthday, her fiancé Cody Beverstock passed away suddenly from a rare form of Leukemia that neither of them knew he had. More than ever before, exercise was Alicia’s lifeline. Alicia felt if she gave up that cancer would win twice... she was determined to take something horrible and to “create something beautiful” in honor of her late fiancé. Alicia returned to work in May of 2018, her passion for fitness moving her forward. Alicia is committed to sharing her story and educating others on how exercise may transform their lives too.
Philosophy:
Almost all new clients start training because they want to change their body in some capacity. My goal is to make all of my clients want to train because it is FUN and because it makes them feel AMAZING! Exercise is my addiction and I will make it yours too. My objective is never to “crush“ you, rather to motivate, encourage, and coach you to new limits. My fitness philosophy is, ‘it’s not work, it’s play. It’s more than just looking good, it’s feeling great.’ But rest assured, you will look good… really good!

Todisco Training helps clients reach their individual goals through a research-backed progressive overload program, designed to restore total balance throughout the body. Flexibility, strength, and postural imbalances are corrected, so that you achieve better results, faster!

SERVICES
One-on-One Training:
One-on-One at Todisco Training begins with a free consultation and assessment to create a customized training program based on your current fitness levels, health, and specific goals. We know not everyone wants to exercise five days a week, so together we will create a plan and schedule that fits your life. Todisco Training designs custom workouts not only for every One-on-One session, but for every day of the week that you plan to exercise.
One-on-One training provides personal attention and motivation to compete with yourself, reach new boundaries, and achieve big results.
Partner Training:
Receive all of the same benefits as One-on-One Training, but split the cost with a partner! Partner training is great for friends, family, and couples that want to change their lives together, or, who simply enjoy exercising and a little friendly competition with each other.
Partner training not only provides you with the ultimate motivation, it also empowers you to motivate and inspire your partner to reach new boundaries, and achieve big results, together.

Alicia changed personal training for me because she made it personal! And fun. I’ve only had a handful of PT sessions at gyms where I felt like a number and a number that was doing everything wrong. She personalizes workouts and she gets to know what you need to work on. That being said, she also discovers what you find easy and so gives you less of that. Which is cruel, but effective because she is forever pushing you out of your comfort zone. She pushes you to work hard in just the right way (without creating an intimidating/discouraging vibe). Alicia is an amazing trainer and was a great help during my marathon training. She listened to my goals and created a great plan to work alongside and supplement my running schedule. She is very warm an easy to talk to and was excellent at motivating and making our training sessions fun.
Also her knowledge is great, she was very good at helping me with my form and technique to make sure I was working out correctly and avoiding injury. Even teaching me how I should stretch/warm down during my running plan outside of our sessions.

I realized it was time to make a change. I was either going to end up with a cane in 10 years or worse. I needed to get moving and do something. I met Alicia and we hit it off right away. She's this tiny lil thang and I'm thinking, Oh great, she's going to be easy and and have me walk and that's it. Nope. That sweet demeanor is a cover for the bad ass she is.
She had me doing squats, lunging (I still don't like her for that) and planks. I always left my workouts beat, barely able to walk and by the time I reached the car, I was grateful I was actually able to do those things. She knew what I wanted to work on, helped me achieve those goals and got me on track. She is a great trainer and I'm bummed I had to move. I still continue to use the techniques she showed me and I am eternally grateful.
